Playoff draft Wednesday night at 10:00 PM Central Time.

...Another unique season for the GridIron Gurus Fantasy Football League. As usually staunch team defenses faltered and failed on a regular basis, managers went from trying to predict productive matchups to trying to avoid total collapses instead. Few succeeded. Examples? Baltimore gets torched by the Bills and Texans. The Jets get fried by the Pats (a team they had beaten earlier) and Bears. The Pats get lit up by Cleavland. One highly ranked defense after another got launched on week after week making the tallying of points from all other roster spots critical week in and week out, and collectively for the entire season.
...Even the standings got jostled by irregularities. Had Shane not thrown in the towel in week 10 he would have finished third and made the playoffs, without a single roster move. The steadiest of all managers was two-time repeating and defending champion Brandon (Africans), but he was too steady. Always 8-9K and only cracking 10K twice. So he fell ever so slightly further behind week after week, after week, and never got that bang to put him back in the hunt, yet somehow remained there until the final weeks as those ahead of him kept slipping and sliding up and down. Even the regular season champ had a defensive  collapse in week 15, but was saved from a 4k week (and falling back to the pack) by a kicker that kicked two 50+ yard FGs (4400 pts).
...But there was some stabilization in the league too, as the "core four" again turned the regular season race into a 4-team tussle. The playoffs should prove interesting...

New Playoff Scoring Module
For the playoffs a new simplified scoring module has been implemented. This will make keeping up with your scores and your opponent's scores much easier. These changes were made easy due to the exclusion of the Kicker and Defense roster spots. Managers now have six (6) supplemental playoff picks. Scoring is position specific unless otherwise noted. Managers must post their own scores through the Yahoo message board within 48 hours after the last game. Forty eight hours after the end of the final game of the round posted scores are considered final. Challenges made by opposing managers to another managers' score, within 24 hours of posting, that are upheld, are corrected by the commissioner.
